Speaking of preparation, we highly recommend making a core blueprint of the ship you are going to take into the mission before you enter. That way, you will be able to make more copies if needed.

Q: How do I locate the mission entry or exit portal?
You can use the target icon 'Set portal as destination' button in the Alien Warfare mission menu (F8) under your active missions section to set a waypoint to the entry or exit portal. You can also copy it's coordinates by using the copy coordinates button to the right.
If you are considering retreating from a mission, this is a quick way to locate the exit portal to get in range in order to activate it.
Q: I just accepted a mission and went to the entry portal, what do I do now? How do I start the mission?
A: Open your Alien Warfare mission menu (F8) and locate the mission in your Active Missions section. Once you are close enough, the Activate the Portal button will be clickable. This would be the same way to retreat or exit a mission to get your reward once you defeated all attackers.

Q: If I do these missions with my friends or hire a crew, how do we get the Quanta reward?
A: The mission reward is paid directly to the owner of the mission once it's completed.
Q: What if I am defeated in combat during the mission?
A: Like normal player death events, you will lose any items and elements in your inventory and your avatar will respawn at the mission entry beacon. The ship used in the mission will be returned to space nearby the mission entry portal you started from, near the origin destination planet. It will not be lost after failing a mission.
Q: I am having problems during a mission. What should I do?
If you're having trouble completing the mission, you can try retreating to the mission entry point (you can activate it through the Alien Warfare mission menu, similar to starting the mission) and conserve your ship from further danger and damage or to reenter and try the mission again. It will also provide you with time to fill out your game bug report to our team, if needed.
If for whatever reason you are not able to retreat through the portal, the Mission Owner can reach out to our Support Team for further assistance (https://support.dualthegame.com/hc/en-us/requests/new?ticket_form_id=6877267122204).
Please note however, that should Support intervene in your retreat it may result in a the normal consequences for a mission failure such as your ship core being destroyed and returned to the safe zone mission entry portal, and may have the same player death consequences as being defeated in combat. We recommend contacting Support only as a last resort and if all else fails.
