The release of the 'Demeter' update comes with a handful of significant changes to the game environment and a reset of geometry as explained further here and here.
This article is meant to help to answer any question you may have, surrounding the terrain/geometry reset, that may result in some existing buildings being partially buried in terrain after the update.
On request, we will assist any player with their constructs, however this comes with some limitations as explained below. Should you have not filed a request with us yet, you can find the corresponding form here.
The digging/excavation process
To keep the workload manageable and at reasonable speed, we will be using an excavation tool, which function we would like to explain a bit further to avoid potential issues, due to the way the excavation works.
Our excavation tool digs out a cube around the construct, which dimensions will be determined by the outermost voxel or element of a construct. That means that if you place a voxel in the outermost corner of the buildable area, the size of the excavation will match the buildable area.

Potential issues
Voxel/element determined excavation boundaries
Due to the above-mentioned process, please ensure that your construct doesn't have any voxels or cores placed outside any area you would like excavated - An example: Your construct is placed on the ground, the floor consists of voxels, but it also has the core underneath. In that case, our tool would automatically dig out an area underneath your floor, based on the outermost corner of the core, which essentially would make the building seem to hover above ground. Temporarily moving the core upwards (default key '9') would ensure that the excavation is based on the position of the floor rather than the core. Please note, any other element than a core will not influence the boundary, only cores and voxels are taken into account.
This issue also includes any voxels that may have been placed at an earlier time and then forgotten, we ask our players to ensure that the area is clear to avoid unwanted excavation of terrain.

Tips and tricks
The fact that our digging tool orients itself at the outermost voxel, can be used to manually enlarge the excavation area - should there be need to do so - by placing voxels at X, Y or Z axis inside the buildable area of the construct (default 'B'). Be careful not to place voxels that would include an area that you may not want to have excavated, if in doubt it is always recommended not to place the voxels and excavate the area manually, after our tool went over it.
